Missions
From local, statewide, and worldwide missions, we believe that fulfilling Jesus's command to the disciples in Matthew 28 is important. Pinecrest Baptist was started as a mission church, planted in a part of Cordele that was poised for growth which had no Gospel presence. That heart for the Gospel has never diminished, and in the decades since, we have sent out men and women from our congregation to serve in both vocational and short-term missions throughout the world!
Meet the Hauns
William & Heidi Haun are our very own IMB Missionaries to Ghana. Well, we do share them with everyone but they were members of Pinecrest before they moved to Ghana - and we are proud to be their "Sending Church." We had the honor of ordaining William before they left for Ghana in the Fall of 2014 (so, officially he's Rev. Haun).

William preaches, trains local pastors and does lots of photography & multimedia work for the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention - not just in Ghana, but throughout the world. If you've seen any IMB publication, video or photo - chances are, William was the one who made the images!

Heidi is a FACS board-certified surgeon (she graduated from the Mercer University School of Medicine, so officially, she's Dr. Haun) and works at the Baptist Medical Center in Nalerigu, Ghana. She also helps conduct clinics throughout West Africa. In her "spare" time she trains local healthcare professionals.
